Hey, Nigel. Thanks for replying to my other post.
Myquestion hereis what would you suggest setting my Boss DD-5 delay to for this song? As far as I can tell it’s dotted 8th with a medium level and a few repeats, but can you give me some settng suggestions because I just can’t seem to nail ths delay.
God bless,
Nic

Hi Nic. You’ve pretty much got it. I’d use the dotted 8th setting with the effect at about 12 o’clock, and the repeats between 10 & 11 o’clock.
Have fun!

Nigel, how do you get that killer tone? its so clean, yet its piercing. it has a great tone for both rhythm and for lead lines(the notes don’t all mesh together into one giant distortion). i just bought myself a Sparkle Drive and I’m looking forward to it. Hope you guys come down to Hawaii sometime!

Hey Dustin I guess its mostly his guitar as well. Duesenbergs are known for their clean tone. How’s the sparkle drive? I’m looking for one as well.

I’m liking the sparkle drive, its nice and low gain for when its necessary, and i like stacking it on top of a a mid/high gain OD to help cut it down a bit and crank the volume up. its really versatile. i think it can even add as sort of a clean boost as well since theres that clean layer function.

Daniel,
He is using a Maxon OD-820 the green one on this board plus the Sparkle Drive, also, this tone is achieved the hollow body guitar, notice he is using the Hambucker pickup. Also, he uses tube amps as well to achieve this. I can says this because I have both the Maxon and the Sparkle Drive and a Vox AC15 and it sound the same as the video. Hope this helps
