AWESOME!!! Thanks a bunch to everybody in the Hillsong Band (especially The Droff… “The Pursuit of Tone” was VERY helpful) for putting this site together. Watching the videos & reading blog posts has helped me personally a ton, and I look forward to ordering the training DVD!

hey dudes.. is there gonna be a drum workshop in those dvd or is it just for guitar? thanks
cool stuff! i hope the folks at Hillsong understand how many people they are encouraging worldwide to help teams become all they came be and give all they can for God. God has blessed them tremendously in the aspect of creativity and rather than be prideful or boastful about it, they use it to edify the entire body of Christ and make it stronger. This is one beautiful way to be the hands and feet of Jesus. I thank God for what he is doing through the Hillsong team. The best is yet to come!
thanks from texas!

Short answer is yes. DRUMS/BASS/ELEC GUITAR/KEYS/ACOUSTIC/WORSHIP LEADING are all represented in the workshops.
There is a feature on this DVD which is a first for us. You will be able to select and watch your instrument from various ‘close up’ angles, helping you to see what is being played clearly.. Hope you enjoy.
Not long now

I think what Coty is referring to is when Droff shows the closeup of the scaled down board he used(TU-2, DD-5, Joyride and Timmy) the tap tempo he uses has a pro-grade switch to tap and isn’t a boss one.

Just got my DVD! Great job guys. I like the feel and discussion of how to rearrange your songs. And great idea having the camera angle for each instrument.
I was disappointed the there was no break down of Droff’s gear. In the promo it seemed you guys were going to include that. Is that coming on a different DVD, or did I miss it?
Thanks from the States.

I was watching your instructional videos on you tube. The lead guitar information that I garnered from the “Salvation Is Here” tutorial is great! The acoustic guitar information is, on the other hand, severely lacking. There aren’t enough shots of the acoustic parts to figure out what he is doing. It sounds great and I would really like to know how to play it. I’m sending this request because at the end of the “What the World Will Never Take” tutorial, there was a mention for feedback on topics such as these.
Most churches will never even come close to having a band with the talent that Hillsong brings to the table. We just don’t have the luxury of drawing from much of a talent pool. I think that is why it is so important to help us to make the most of the acoustic guitar parts. I’m a reasonably accomplished guitar player, but I can’t play all the parts alone. If I knew how to play the parts that your player on the video is doing, instead of faking a part, I would feel much better about performing the song for our worship. I could seriously jam on that if only I could tell exactly what he was doing.
I would like to add that these suggestions apply for all of your song tutorials, not just “Salvation Is Here”. A single acoustic guitar is many times, the only instrument available to help the spirit fill a room of worshipers. A great performance with that one guitar can really go a long way.
I love what you all are doing for the body. Please continue to put together the video tutorials. They are a wonderful resource for all.
Thanks for your consideration.

@mark. Thanks for your comment… we are currently looking at making more youtube videos to help break down some of the parts and make it easier for you guys to learn our songs… we will be including older songs such as ’salvation is here’
Do other people find picking out the accoustic parts a problem? It would be interesting to hear thoughts.

The name of the pedal used by the Droff is called a ‘Nova Delay’. It’s from TC Electronics.
Here you have it: http://www.tcelectronic.com/NovaDelay.asp
