this is beautiful. Love the way it is explained here... had to blink away the tears to read it properly. No wonder your music is anointed. Keep going Ben!

Thanks so much for that thought, brother! I'm grateful that what little we bring to God, he graciously guides us into growing in our worship.

As a man who has lived thru 4 decades of christianity's worship in the modern church, I must say that God is still seeking those who will worship him in spirit and in truth. Worship is more than a song that you sing or compose; worship is a reflection of your life outside those 4 walls in your assembly!! Let me see you and praise God for the fruits that you bear "outside" of church!! We must go back to the fundamentals of worship and that was when we were "naked" before God and there was nothing to hinder our praise to him!! Remove the unclean things before him, break up your fallow ground and return to the Lord our God!! May God grant us many blessings in this new year (2010) and let us all return to the heart of praise and worship!!

this was great because l need help as a worship leader l'm only 17 and l'm leading worship and l want to get back to that heart of worship were l would be able to just lay it all down at his feet and be able to lead people to that place too. which is why every time people experiance god in one of our worship times in the church it amazes me because l know now it's not my strength or wisdom that brings god down it's just how we prepare the way so that the people are receptive to the god we are experiancing on the stage

If find that when I worship our God, our father in heaven, I like to do it in prayer and say, "God, this is for you." And just like you write above, I feel our fathers heart of love. You can't mistake it and it's awesome. When we come to the platform (or behind the console for me) with all that we do, with all our hours of practice and preparation behind us, we can say "Dad, this is for you."

Gabe.. You sound familiar..

First and foremost, worship needs to be lived out. As worship leaders/team leaders/musicians etc i think we need to be constantly pointing people to an authentic relationship with God. There is no substitute for the work of the Spirit, though, in the way we speak, pray and write our songs, I believe we can at least begin to paint the picture.

We can begin with ourselves, and those in our world. If God is doing something in your life, there is every chance He will work through you to do the same in the lives of others//
