Hi, in this video the piano sound used is from the S90ES or it is a sample from a laptop or something else?
And in the DVD, is the sound coming from the MO8 or from the laptop?
Thanks

It is actually a sample from Ivory Grand piano (Synthogy software), running from Mac. The actual patch is called “Italian Grand.”
You can purchase this sample from the synthogy website (www.synthogy.com) - just look under “products”.

Hi,
I’ve been reading through several of the keyboard threads and am finding a common theme (and one I’d be interested in exploring).
Many of us seem to be quite decent keyboard players but are lacking in the ‘electronic’ resource section ie. we are piano players but are struggling with the whole workstation, synth, midi input vs. a sound right on a keyboard area.
Have you and the other keyboard players ever considered having a forum for the technical setup that you use and why it works for you?
Thanks

Autumn - just wanna say thanks for your time in putting these (videos with forums) together. It’s so great to see other players thoughts and input - helps the creative juices flow!

Ditto what Trent said; I’m a piano player and learning/figuring out all the effects and sounds on a keyboard is something fairly new to me. We play a lot of Hillsong songs at church and I’d love to see or understand the set up used to get sounds that work for the songs. Today I was having a particular hard time finding a good sound for Came to My Rescue on our fairly new Nord Electro 3 keyboard. Anybody know of any sites or ways to get tips/help on this?

I agree with Trent. I have played a triton for years but not happy with the piano sounds. Interested in going to computer set up but have no idea where to start. What do you guys use at hillsongs?

Hey guys,
Basically we get most of our sounds through our computer setup… The sound we are using for this demo is Ivory Italian Grand, playing through Mainstage. (on the album it was Ivory Steinway as Italian Grand hadn’t been released then).
But we do use Analog Velvet a lot as well for pads. That can be found on a lot of Korg keyboards like the Le’s, which we use.
Hey guys. I just purchased a macbook pro and am needing to find some synth and piano sounds to play through my KORG M3 but know nothing about this stuff. Any recommendations?
