Your Secret Space

Several months ago some of our friends bought a 2-bedroom townhouse. It was really nice. After living there for a while, they noticed something odd. It seemed like there was a wall out of place. They looked around and all the signs pointed to a “space” behind the wall, over the garage, that they couldn’t access. They visited their neighbours to “spy” out their “space” and sure enough they had a third bedroom. So one day we went over to their place and crawled through their roof and saw that all chords and aircon tubes were running to this “space”. We cut a hole in the wall and found this fully functional room, which only needed a door to be used properly!!
I loved it, it was so C.S. Lewis.
Our lives can be like this. God calls us to devotion and He calls that place of devotion “the secret place”. It’s a place of intimacy and communion.
Before we have a life of devotion, we know there is something missing in our lives. We see this empty “space” that we know should be something. We look in our neighbour’s lives and see a functional and life-giving devotion. You have a fully functional room and all you need is an access point.
This Wednesday we have our very first Encounter Night. It’s a night, where we take extra time to worship, pray for people, prophecy over each other. We will still be having the Word preached by our youth pastor, Chrishan.
The secret place of devotion is a personal thing but sometimes we need each other to break through to that place, before we take it home and make it intimate.
Can I encourage you to be there this Wednesday and come expectant to have an encounter with Jesus? He SO desires to meet with you and see you live a life of breakthrough for His name’s sake.

Ladies and Gentlemen
WE HAVE LOCKED IN A VENUE!!!
Powerhouse Retreat 2009 will be at Coastlife Church - 19 Chetwynd Rd, Erina (opposite Erina Fair). This year we’re working with Central Coast Tourism who have negotiated cheaper rates for us at nearby accomodation. They are holding a variety of bulk bookings specifically for us, which we can access via the web or phone.
How to book accommodation:
1. Go through your Connect or Tribe Leader
OR
2. Visit www.visitcentralcoast.com.au and click on the Powerhouse logo on the home page to see the variety of discounted accomodation being held and book online. More options are being added as they are confirmed.
OR
3. Call Central Cost Tourism direct on 1300 132 975 and book accomodation held for Powerhouse Retreat over the phone. The staff there are great and know the area well, so if you need to accomodate a CG, zone or tribe or two at one place, or the options don’t suit, just give them a call. The block bookings will be held exclusively for us until the 18th December so get in quick! They will still be able to help after this date, just means that the bookings won’t be specifically held. **this option also for larger group bookings
The discounted accommodation rates will be available to book from this Monday 24th Nov until mid December so you need to get in quick!!
Retreat will be bigger and better, so make sure to get your rego in ASAP as we will need to cap the rego’s at some point. Make sure to check back on this page for more updates regarding retreat….
