The Real Deal

So often we can make life about “me, mine and my”. We can often think we are a big deal around here when really, we’re not! Jesus is the real deal and we seek to point people to Him.

In John 1:35-37 John the Baptist is walking with two of his disciples and when he sees Jesus, he describes Jesus to them and in verse 37 it says, “The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.”
John didn’t stop them, he didn’t have a pity party or go to Jesus and complain that He had “stolen” his disciples… John knew that Jesus was the real deal, so his job was to help people as far as he could, until they got a revelation of Jesus for themselves and once they did, his job was done.
When people don’t know Jesus yet, they will connect with Him through you and live of your revelations and how you know Him but sooner or later, they must go from knowing Him through you to knowing Him for themselves.

Jesus, you are the real deal… help us understand that in our schools, uni’s and workplaces we should live lives people can follow the example of but the main purpose behind it all, is for them to have the revelation of who You are and then follow You! Love you, Amen.

Much Love,
Thomas
