Living In Sydney

Cost of Living

It is recommended that you budget $250 – $350 per person, per week. This would cover accommodation, electricity, food, local phone calls, some transport and general living costs. Please note that these figures are guidelines only.

Many students work part-time, which allows them to support themselves during their time here with us. Students are able to work 20 hours a week on the student visa.

Clothing

Summer: Bring light clothing and swimwear to explore our beautiful beaches.

Winter: Bring a warm jacket, pullovers, knitwear and long-sleeve shirts. Most International Students are surprised at how cold it can be. Houses are not insulated in the same way as homes in the United States or European countries, so be prepared for cold weather.
