Colour Women’s Conference 09 – THE INVITATION
What does it truly mean to live life and life to the full? John 10:10 says it beautifully, when Jesus came to give us life, he came to give us life in all of its abundance.
What does it mean to be women who are alive, passionate, loved and loving, encouraged and encouraging, seen and heard, willing to listen and speak up, fighting for justice and living with healthy ambition. To be those who are valued and value, to see beauty in others and to know your own, to understand we are not worthy but are lavished with worth. The call of womanhood is immense for we hold the key to so many facets of life, secrets that God has entrusted to us, to our generation.
I believe that as this Sisterhood emerges, and as we continue to gather together, the once small whisper that united our hearts will become a deafening shout that our neighbours, our nation, and the world cannot ignore.
A shout that invades the mediocrity of everyday life and brings worth and integrity to the hurting, the dirty and the dying. A Shout that rises above the noise of wars and famine, of domestic violence and economic crisis. This once quiet whisper is history in the making, and now knocks on our very doorstep. We are shaking the foundations, and redefining our calling. We are coming together once again as warrior sisters, daughters of the King, discovering and positioning ourselves to change the world.
