Hello wonderful person and welcome to Hillsong Pretoria!

We are Jurgen & Anneli Humer and we have the immense privilege & honour to pastor our Church location here in Wonderboom.

We are actually relatively new to the area, we moved to Pretoria in March 2022, after pastoring Hillsong Somerset West since 2015. And we must say, we absolutely love Pretoria, especially the people, some of the warmest, friendliest people in the world.

Jurgen grew up, not too far from here in Bryanston, Johannesburg. Anneli hails all the way from Lutzville, a small town on the West Coast.

You might ask, ‘how does a farm girl from Namaqualand and a city boy from Jozi end up together?’ Well, we are glad you asked because we love sharing how we met. We got baptised on the same day back in 2007, whilst both being planted in Hillsong London and spent the most of that day just chatting and getting to know each other. The rest, like they say, is history. Also, shout out to baptisms 🙂 We have the 2 most beautiful children, Jesse who is turning 5 soon, and Georgi, who is turning 3 (going on 13) in November.

After many years of infertility, and the hugest desire to be parents, God dropped adoption in our hearts, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We love what God is doing among us. We love Jesus and we love our church. Our number one passion, after seeing people find freedom in Christ, is that every person who comes through our church door, will find a real authentic community to do life with and grow in Jesus. It’s been prophesied over this location, that it will be a life-giving oasis in this area, and that is truly what we believe and why we will continue to build. We are so expectant for all that’s ahead!
