Kilo Of Kindness
Hunger is a largely hidden social problem in Australia and many suffer in silence. After paying rent, bills and transport costs many parents find it hard to place food on their tables. Children will often go to school without breakfast, or to bed without any dinner.
The Kilo of Kindness food drive is a part of our Cross Equals Love Easter campaign. It aims to help families facing food insecurity in our communities. Our congregations are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, by bringing in bags of groceries during weekend services or by purchasing food items online.
Kilo of Kindness provides a practical way for our church to show love to those in need, by providing food relief through our Community Partners and helping to stock our CityCare Emergency Food Relief Pantries.
“In the last 12 months, more than 4 million Australians (18% of the population) have been in a situation where they have run out of food and have been unable to buy more.”
We are inviting YOU to shop in our online store
The items purchased will go directly towards creating food relief hampers that are distributed through our Community Partners and our CityCare Emergency Food Relief Pantries.
Any shopping done through the Kilo of Kindness online store is tax deductible through Hillsong CityCare Ltd.
