A Few Words About Easter

21 Mar 2013

If there's one thing we love here at Hillsong Creative, it's watching creative expression grow and develop around exciting seasons like Easter weekend! It is a massive weekend for THE Church, and we are excited for it.

Our church will once again be going to great lengths to exalt the name of Jesus in every way possible, whether it's by stacking milk crates on top of one another or by spending a day blessing our communities in whatever way possible.

Easter: Hillsong Collected

In this instance, it is great to see our Writers Guild (instagram: @thewritersguild) stepping up to the plate, using their gifts to spread His Work and His Word. Though our Writers Guild is still in it's early stages, we are already so excited about the calibre of creativity that is coming through!

It's shaping up to be a great few weeks in church life, and we pray the very best for you and your teams. We'd love to hear what your church is doing creatively for Easter, so please leave a note in the comments below.

Have a great week!

A Battle Won

by Carmen Helm (The Writers' Guild)

I'm hollowed out in the flesh of your hands
A wound you were more than willing to bleed
You carved my name on the tree you planted
When you carried the world to the mountaintops.

Looking out over your creation chained in lies
Your head hung in victorious glory
Your last breath gave us our 1st,
As You rolled away the stone in our hearts.

You ruined the power and poison of death
So I too must rise from my grave
Into my freedom for which I paid nothing,
To revel in a battle already won.
