REVIVAL was the fervent prayer of Ezra in Ezra 9:9, “… give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage. For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage.”

God’s measure of revival isn’t what you may first think. The term ‘measure’ usually evokes thoughts of portioning, divvying out, calculation, just enough… but not with God. In His economy we receive according to what we measure out. Matthew 7 says, “ with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Day 3 of Sydney Hillsong Conference 2013 and I believe that we are and will experience revival in proportion to the measure we use. That is why our team and our people recognised the value of commitment to 40 days of devotional prayer for this conference – because the more we hunger and dedicate ourselves to our God and His Kingdom come on earth, through His Church He will pour out an ever-increasing measure of His Spirit. What days we live in!!

After a powerful start to conference, this morning and all day we are looking at what it means for each of us to be “On Mission”, reviving people in our world from the ruins of sin, and the overwhelming crush of life without Christ. I am so grateful for the incredible Pastors and leaders, the calibre of preachers that have shared with us thus far.

THE BEST IS STILL YET TO COME!

God’s measure is always overflow – more than we can possibly contain. God is always thinking and working beyond our limits. His heart for us as His church is to open up our hearts and lives wide, to let go of the past and the things that have contained us, cast off our garments of self-doubt, rise and come to Jesus!

I pray that with the 2 days we have remaining we will all lean in with even greater expectancy. This is OUR time, YOUR time – your “I have decided” moment. Let’s give everything to receiving ALL that God is pouring out in this conference – ALL that He wants to fill His church and individual lives with. Let it overflow your life and impact your world for Jesus. Christ is our ALL IN ALL, He IS enough for me and..,

REVIVAL IS NOW!
