Every year it’s the same. The lights dim, women (chatting to friends in the isles) scramble for their seat. The screens flicker with life and movement … and then “the sound” of thousands of excited and expectant women rises into the atmosphere.
The Opener begins… and as they have done for now 18 years, the tone and spirit of the next few days is gloriously set.
Our 2014 COLOUR Opener was again beautiful. Both clever and creative, it captured the eternal and divine Love Story of God’s great and relentless devotion towards us.
If you were with us in person, why not enjoy it again and allow God’s Spirit to stir what He did in you that weekend.
And if you missed it, then can I encourage you to find a quiet spot, dim the lights, imagine yourself surrounded with thousands of like-spirited and gorgeous sisters… and lean into the moment.
As an aside – I need to brag a little on our team, because this little masterpiece was created in very much the 11th hour of our Colour preparations. Not for lack of due diligence, because we begin preparations 12 months out, but simply because there is often “much on the table to accomplish” and life can sometimes press things into the pressure zone. But it is often in the pressure zones that the most beautiful emerges. Our trust is always in Jesus and He never fails to help us when we find ourselves in that territory. So some of our team have written a blog around the “making of this year’s opener”, which will hopefully inspire all the wee artists out there.
Anyway, enjoy and be blessed. Resources and teaching from the conference are available from our resource centre (Click Here), and 2015 is shaping up to be magnificent also. I’m excited for a new era in this glorious message towards women and womanhood. Check out the colorful promo for 2015 (Click Here), and visit and browse around the colourconference.com and coloursisterhood.com websites.
Remember the core mandate of COLOUR, is that of “placing value upon womanhood” — and let’s face it, there are still multitudes in this world who need to hear that Someone (capital “S”) loves and believes in them. To that end, share the opener and sow some seeds of hope.
With Love always,
Bobbie
