Joseph Prince: Hear Your Way to the Abundant Life

Oct 17 2014

We’re so excited to have Pastor Joseph Prince with us again for Hillsong Conference 2015 in both Sydney and London! Registrations are now open at

Whatever the challenge you may be faced with today, I want you to know this: God has a very simple yet powerful way for you to walk above the storm, experience the breakthrough you need, and even succeed in every area of life.

Look at what He says in Isaiah 55:2–3 (emphasis mine):

Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live…

Notice the number of times God tells us in these two verses to listen to Him and hear His Word. This is God’s way to walking in the good and abundant life He has given us through Christ (see John 10:10). This is how we allow Him to flood our bodies, emotions, minds, and situations with His health and life (see Prov. 4:10–22).

My friend, when we, like young Solomon in the Old Testament, acknowledge that we “do not know how to go out or come in” (1 Kings 3:8), and ask the Lord for a hearing heart toward Him, it pleases Him. It pleases Him even today, as it so pleased Him then that He gave Solomon abundance like no other king before him and honor like no other king after him.

And when we, like Mary in the New Testament, come to the Lord mindful only of listening to His words of grace and life, He calls that doing the one most needful thing. It is this one thing that will keep us from being “worried and troubled about many things” (Luke 10:41).

Beloved, let’s never stop inviting the Lord to speak to us. Let’s always give Him the opportunity to bring His wisdom, peace, and life into every one of our situations.

That is why I’m so excited about the theme of Hillsong Conference 2015—“Speak, We’re Listening.” I’m looking forward to being there with all of you, to worshipping the Lord together with you, and to sitting at the feet of Jesus and really listening to Him.

If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to sign up for the conference. Together, let’s set aside this time to pull away from all the noise of our modern world and allow Jesus to refresh and rejuvenate us with His presence and His Word!
