Noel – Hillsong Young and Free
I’m kicking off my Christmas song list with “Noel.” Christmas is such a fun time of the year and Hillsong Young and Free’s arrangement of Noel is a party. Full of energy and Christmas cheer and of course it’s so good to hear one of my favourite girls Renee Sieff singing away.
O Holy Night – Celine Dion
Those that know me would be able to tell you that I LOVE Celine Dion…ha. I have added her live arrangement of O Holy Night as number 2.
The truth is… One of the moments I most look forward to at Christmas is singing “O Holy Night” on Christmas Eve in church. Our Christmas Eve services are always so beautiful and reflective of all Jesus has done for us. Christmas is a time when many visitors come to church and we often finish these services by singing “O Holy Night.” I love that people can come into the house of God and even if they don’t usually come to church, they can join in as we sing well known lyrics like “Fall on your knees, Oh hear the angel voices, Oh night divine, Oh night when Christ was born“.
Christmas Lights – Coldplay
It’s always fun when one of your favourite bands releases a Christmas song so of course I had to add “Christmas lights” to my top five Christmas songs 🙂
Peace Has Come – Hillsong Worship
“Fully God and fully man,
He comes for all with open hands”
This is a beautiful new Christmas song from our Hillsong Worship team. It is full of beautiful lyrics that describe our King Jesus and the peace that He has given us. It also integrates the timeless “O Come Let Us Adore Him” chorus into the song. I love to sing these choruses in church every Christmas so it’s so nice to hear them as part of this new song.
All I Want For Christmas Is You – Mariah Carey
This photo was taken at my mum’s annual work Christmas party. Every year my little sister and I would be so excited to go and see Santa, although the photo makes me laugh because it looks like I’m trying to get away from Santa…ha…anyways
Merry Christmas everyone. Xx
