We had just come out of worship during a night session mid-way through Hillsong Conference, and Pastor Steven Furtick began preaching. During his message he shared a story about how he didn’t feel as though he was ready for what God was calling him to.

He declared that often in our lives we don’t feel ready for the things that God calls us to do or even overcome and take the next steps he asks. I can remember Ps Steven marching around the stage declaring, “You are never ready”! Conference erupted however I remember feeling the gentle, prompting of God speaking into areas of my life. Its incredible how sometimes the noisiest, moments can involve the most personal interactions.

The experience filled me with a sense of hope and faith, taking steps over the next few weeks to break through things that had stopped before. Even today I hold it is a declaration of how God wants to work in my life, never in the familiar or within my comfort zone, but leading me in my journey to places He calls me.
