My favourite message from last year was on the first night of conference, when Steven Furtick spoke about “Unveiled Faces”. The verse that really melted my heart was 2 Corinthians 3:13-16: “We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.”
God spoke to me big time through this message. I was feeling blinded by the devil, and struggling to see God in the situations that I was going through at the time. I felt like darkness was over my heart. But as soon as I realised I could open my heart and turn to God, my heart was free from all burden and discouragement! I wanted to share this freedom by beginning a sisterhood lunch program in my school. It has now grown so much, that we had to move and the boys wanted in so we created a brotherhood lunchtime program.
