Growing up in Hillsong Church (since 1984), naturally Hillsong Conference was a church event that mum and dad brought me to.
For years I attended Conference, loving it but for me, my life defining memory would have to be at JAM Conference (now Young & Free Conference) in 1998.
We were in the States Sport Centre and I remember seeing a sea of young people pour into the Centre and as they did, my heart began to break. Thinking about the opportunities  that lay at the feet of these incredibly talented and gifted young people each in their own way.
A preacher said, what angers you most in life is what you are called to change!
It was that day I made a decision to surrender my life to ministry and do whatever I could within my ability under God to see people walk in the destiny and purpose the Lord has for them. That Conference changed my life, and today I’m still walking out that calling, reminded every time I am at Hillsong Conference the decision and commitment that I made…
