Although the media can often quickly move on from stories, the Church must remain at the forefront of the needs of our world.
Richard Stearns is the president of World Vision US and award-winning author of The Hole in Our Gospel.
‘Q IDEAS’ sat down with Rich Stearns recently to talk about the need for churches to respond to the most fragile places on earth, in particular the current Syrian Refugee Crisis.
This short video is an inspiring reminder of why the Church has to be the Church, especially when the world grows weary.
Just like many of the local churches where this refugee crisis is on the doorstep, Hillsong is seeking to partner with local governments and provide assistance in whichever way we can. There is no one model for this response, but respond we must.

As believers, the responsibility to pray rests upon all of us. Pray for wisdom that governments will know how to make the right decisions. Pray for peace to prevail, and that innocent refugees caught in the madness will find the strength to endure and the help needed to rebuild their lives.
As a church we are not inactive and many of our global Hillsong churches are stepping into the need. Let’s not grow weary in doing good and be open and ready for whatever direction the Lord leads us in as a church.
Love always,
Bobbie
