Over the past 3 years, church has grown immensely and so many people have been a part of that journey. It has never been about the numbers though – but about each individual life.
Meet a few of the people who have encountered God and found a place to call HOME in Copenhagen.
“I moved to Copenhagen just recently to study Law at the University of Copenhagen. I still remember walking through the doors of Bremen for the very first time. The service wasn’t even over before I knew that this place would be MY HOME. I love that I get to build church and share life with amazing friends. I’ve found a passion and a desire to see more of Jesus in my own life, my surroundings and the amazing city of Copenhagen. Pastor Thomas always says that we are a church that equips people for their Mondays and not just their Sundays, and I love that I get to be equipped to meet my world through the eyes of Jesus.”
“I didn’t grow up in church. I didn’t know God, I only knew about Him. When I came to Copenhagen 2 years ago and found Hillsong, I simply fell in love with Jesus. I met so many amazing and encouraging people. Now I’m part of the team, Hillsong is my home and I couldn’t be more thankful.”
“Growing up in a Christian family, church has always been a part of my life. First time I was in Hillsong, it was actually my mum who had invited me. I loved the atmosphere and all the people I met – really made it feel like home and a place where I could belong. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for us as a church.”
“After University I heard about Hillsong College in Australia and decided to go on an adventure to deepen my relationship with God. One year turned into three and I was completely transformed. I made life long friendships with people who are passionate to build His church and fell deeply in love with my husband whom I met while serving during a Sunday service. I am an American and he is a Dane (a very handsome one) and those three years of sculpting paved the path for Hillsong Copenhagen. Now we are here doing our first year of marriage, living the dream, and building church in one of the most beautiful cities on earth.”
