We were filming the song ‘Heart Like Heaven’ (I think) and found these fire pits hidden behind a building, and obviously didn’t hesitate to situate them amongst us and ignite them all. To my detriment there was a wind that blew all of the smoke from the fire pit beside me directly into my face. At first it was funny and bearable but towards the end of the song I was drowning in the smoke and couldn’t stop my eyes from watering profusely. Since we were mid-recording I couldn’t even wipe my eyes and just had to cop it for minutes and minutes on end. On top of that I was trying not to worry about catching alight amidst exploding nails that were ridden amongst the burning timber.
