This has been a tough year for us financially, and seeing others deal with similar things is never easy. During our annual Heart for the House offering, we learned that giving when finances are tough was difficult, but we found that being faithful was all we needed to do to see blessings far and above what we could ever expect. Through all this, I felt God put on my heart that this year was the year for Sebastian and his family. I have known him for years. He is blind and sells cleaning supplies on a street corner, doing the best he can to provide for his family. I know he struggles to make ends meet. I knew that with the help of the community and prayer, we could bless his family far above anything he could have ever experienced or expected. I organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to bless his family, and unknowingly I became the one to help, and I am so happy we were able to the way we did. We raised a significant amount of money and we also filled a SUV full of toys and gifts. We were able to surprise his family with all of this. It was an honour and a pleasure.
