100 Days of Ascent: Week Four

Looking to the Lord for mercy

In life our eyes can be focused on a whole lot of different things
We may not know what is going on around us
We may not know how to help the situation
But fixing our eyes on the One who holds the universe in his hand, the only one that we know who can help us, acknowledging that it is only from Him that I get what I need for life
It is only from him that I get my breath
It is only from him that I get my daily provisions
It is only from him that I get the opportunity to live this day
It is a daily posture, daily attention
Our eyes fixed on Christ, knowing who he is
And knowing that he is the only thing that we need

We are already in week four of our ascent towards Worship & Creative Conference. We can’t wait to see what you will create after hearing Brad’s story and reflecting on this week’s psalm.

Keep sharing your creativity on #100daycreativechallenge (it’s never too late to start).

What does mercy look, sound, feel like to you?

Psalm 123
A song of ascents.
I lift up my eyes to you,
to you who sit enthroned in heaven.
As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
till he shows us his mercy.
Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us,
for we have endured no end of contempt.
We have endured no end
of ridicule from the arrogant,
of contempt from the proud.
