Life isn’t always perfect or straightforward or smooth.

But certain things ALWAYS prevail.

Love always prevails. Life prevails. Calling prevails. Devotion prevails. Conviction prevails. Choice prevails. Family and lifelong friendships prevail.

In empathy for someone struggling today — I’ll agree that certain things AREN’T EASY, but when did the Lord ever promise that life would be easy. He never did. He promised life and life in abundance, but life came at a cost (His) and it still comes at a cost. We still fight for love and we still contend for what is important.

Life is a rollercoaster adventure sometimes. It has its disappointments and shadowlands, but it is also a gift and salvation always makes a way.

Jesus (unapologetically) declared he is the WAY, TRUTH, LIFE (John 14:6). So follow him. Follow him through the various seasons and terrain of life and you will come out the other side.

Eternity will prove that true for multitudes. We’ll get to Heaven and will be looking at one another in astonishment and wonder that “we made it”.

So, if life is less than encouraging today, take courage.

Forgive those who have done you harm.

Pray for your enemies.

Be kind to yourself and others.

Seek after wisdom.

HIS WAY is always the “higher way”.

It’s not for the faint hearted, so if your heart feels faint… pray like David the Psalmist prayed: ”Create in me a clean heart, O God”(Psalm 51:10).
