Easter day 7: JESUS IS RISEN

Apr 11 2020

Sunday 12th April

SCRIPTURE: Matthew 28:6

“He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.”

WOW! On the third day of dawn, Jesus was not in the tomb. And now we may live in freedom and victory because Jesus rose from the grave and conquered death so that all of humanity can have eternal salvation. There is no bigger gift in life than this. No greater victory in life than this. Scripture doesn’t say that Jesus has just risen, but scripture tells us to come and look at the empty tomb where the body was lying (and is not there anymore). Hallelujah! This is the good news for others to know! They too can have freedom, healing, and wholeness, all because Jesus fulfilled the prophecy and died and rose again! He did this for ALL of humanity. Not just some people. But for ALL people. Perhaps there is someone in your world today, that you can encourage about how much Jesus loves them and how they can accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

ACTION: Tell someone about the goodness of God! What Jesus did is for everyone!

Matthew 5:14-16

“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”
