SEEKING OUT THE OPPORTUNITY
In these unknown times, we all have been given a choice – an opportunity. As the globe is slowing down, with curfews and quarantines being enforced on almost every continent, we are faced with a season like none that we have ever seen before. Nations and cities have gone from a fast-paced rat race to a slow dancing waltz. The speed at which we have lived our lives for so long has been radically changed.
For so many students, workers, parents and teachers, we find ourselves learning, working and leading from home, but for some of us, life has come to a standstill where we aren’t quite sure what to do with our time.
Whatever category you find yourself in, there is a question lurking in the air – what will I do with my time in this season?
Will I use my time to draw out the opportunities? Or will I miss the opportunities that are right in front of me?
The amazing thing about this season is that we aren’t the only ones with an opportunity – God has an opportunity to show Himself as Jehovah Jireh – our Provider. To reveal Himself as Jehovah Shalom – our Peace.
Let Him be your Provider and your Peace Maker through this season of the unknown.
Let’s put our faith and trust in Him. I truly believe that we are going to see an incredible move of the Spirit of God where the lost will find salvation, the weary will experience His rest, and revival will break out across the globe as hearts turn to Him!
In case you were wondering (because I know you probably weren’t) These are some of the things that I am intentionally focussing on during this season:
1. Growing closer to Jesus – Spending more time in the Word, in prayer, and in worship.
2. Growing closer to my Family – Being intentional about having quality time with them.
3. Growing in Creativity – Creating space out of my every day to create.
4. Growing in my Leadership – Reading, Listening to podcasts and writing down some goals.
5. Trying something New – Trying different recipes, learning new workouts, anything that will keep me moving forward and growing!
Why don’t you take some time to write down a few opportunities that you can make the most of?
I’m going to do my best to take this time and see it as an opportunity – To improve myself, to grow in my leadership and my ability to be stronger and wiser, and most importantly, to be more like Jesus.
How about you?
