Walking in faith through life’s difficult seasons.
This month, Angela Bachtle, our College Principal in Australia, brought a faith building message that stirred courage in our global student body watching online.
“A walk with God is truly a walk of Faith” declared Angela, “Our faith is not just for the mountain tops, it is most needed in the trenches of life’s difficulties”.
Sharing some of her own story and personal experiences, Angela continued to inspire belief and encourage direction by setting out ways we can “walk, a walk of Faith”.
For the seasons in the trenches, she gave 3 clear steps to gaining a deeper dependence and resilience in our walk:
1. YOU HIDE; in the shelter of HIS name, not in negativity or fear.
“You are my hiding place; You, Lord, protect me from trouble; you surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance.”
Psalm 32:7
2. YOU STAND; your ground, so the enemy does not take a foothold.
“Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious].”
Ephesians 6:13
3. YOU BELIEVE; God and TRUST Him always, despite what surrounds us.
“When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do.”
Romans 4:18
Angela’s word is powerful, not only because it is filled with truth and encouragement, but because by simply watching and experiencing it yourself you can see how much she believes in the message she is preaching. Today, let’s be reminded that as the global Church, we are called to “stand strong and not shrink back”. This is our finest hour; this is our season. We are here in God’s TIMING and PURPOSE.
