100 Days of Ascent: Week Two

Désolé, cet article est seulement disponible en Anglais Américain. Pour le confort de l’utilisateur, le contenu est affiché ci-dessous dans une autre langue. Vous pouvez cliquer le lien pour changer de langue active.

As we take the next step in the Ascent together we are focusing on God’s providence.

providence | ˈprɒvɪd(ə)ns |
noun [mass noun]
1 the protective care of God or of nature as a spiritual power: they found their trust in divine providence to be a source of comfort.
(Providence) God or nature as providing protective care: I live out my life as Providence decrees.
2 timely preparation for future eventualities: it was considered a duty to encourage providence.

On the journey we will have mountain top experiences as well as valleys. What we know for sure is that God is right there with us in both the highs and lows.

In this story Matt Crocker from Hillsong United shares from a personal experience how God cares and keeps us even in the lowest of valleys.

Psalm 121
A song of ascents.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

As we read, reflect and respond we hope that this poem from our team will inspire you to keep creating:

may creativity kiss you on the lips
as you rise each morning,
may she animate your every hour
with more ideas than you will
ever be able to action,
may you see old things new,
and possibilities in every obstacle,
and may your heart desire
the deeper things,
and may your art
change the world.
