Y&F Day 37

“God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand.
I’m an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking.
You know when I leave and when I get back;
I’m never out of your sight.
You know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence.
I look behind me and you’re there,
then up ahead and you’re there, too—your reassuring presence, coming and going.
This is too much, too wonderful—I can’t take it all in!
Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? To be out of your sight?
If I climb to the sky, you’re there!
If I go underground, you’re there!
If I flew on morning’s wings to the far western horizon,
You’d find me in a minute—you’re already there waiting!
Then I said to myself, “Oh, he even sees me in the dark!
At night I’m immersed in the light!”
It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you; night and day, darkness and light, they’re all the same to you.”
PSALM 139:1-12 (MSG)

Christopher Columbus changed history when he proved that the world was not flat.

Laughable isn’t it, to those of us on this side of history. Hello, AS IF we would fall off the edge of the world into black space!!

These days, we have made so many discoveries about our round planet all thanks to ships, airplanes & our best friend Google.

Sometimes we approach God with a ‘Columbus’ mindset. We live within certain confines of our lives, afraid to fall off because we actually don’t know how big, how wide, how marvellous the life he has for us really is!

What if we fell off??

What if we found ourselves in a place that we’d never been – a place we couldn’t recognise on the map of our lives and had no intention of going?

There is good news my friends.

The best, in fact!

There was another man who changed history.

His name is JESUS.

He proved to the world that love has no borders, and the life he brings is “round” – never ending!

Everyday, He invites us to discover the wide-open spaces of his Love – a love that cannot be mapped or contained because it reaches higher than any mountain, and even into the lowest of depths, further than the farthest corners of our galaxy!

We can’t outrun Him and we can’t escape His embrace – his love is far too big!

A love without borders.

That’s what we have in Jesus today.
