The One Bible Song I Avoided for 20 Years… Until Now!

Apr 9 2025

Tyvärr är denna artikel enbart tillgänglig på Amerikansk Engelska.

I grew up in ‘Sunday School’ throughout the 80’s, sang all the classics and I’ve been writing Christian kids songs for 20 years. For that entire time, one song loomed in the background like a musical Mount Everest… The Books of the Bible. Just sitting there. Judging me. Canonically.
Then, in early 2024, I was noodling around with lyrics, and out of nowhere came the rhyme I’d been waiting two decades for: Chronicles and Canonical. I mean, come on! That’s lyrical gold. Angels probably high-fived, and I knew—it was time. I had to finish this song.

So I dove in and finally tackled the ultimate Bible memorization challenge. I didn’t want to just list out the books—I wanted something fun, singable, and sneaky-smart.

Making this Books of the Bible song was a ride. I went through at least half a dozen different beats trying to nail the vibe. I pulled in my buddy Funny Man Dan to help me rap, and together we finally got it out of my head and into the world.

Honestly? If 20 years from now some grown-up is folding laundry and randomly breaks into “We’re keeping it canonical,” I’ll call that a win for faith-based education, and my personal mission to make learning the Bible way more fun.
