Educational Leadership & Inspiration
Bachelors of Music Education; currently studying Masters Ed Lead
Currently, I am the Vice Principal of the City Campus. In 2003, I felt God inspire me to pursue College here in Sydney. That led to meeting my husband and embarking on a journey to inspire & impact the nations. The leadership model of Hillsong Church is unlike any other I have experienced and since planting roots here, have discovered that I was built to raise, equip, empower and release the leaders of tomorrow.
After studying a Bach in Music Ed at Mississippi College, USA, I came to Sydney and received an Advanced Diploma in Ministry. Afterwards, I was offered the position of Head Trainer for the Worship Stream in the City Campus. For seven years I worked with some amazing people to establish a team of worship trainers in the city, re-write our course and reinvent the educational experience for our students, introducing band and vocal workshops along with tutorials. In 2014, I was asked to step into the Vice Principal role, and since then, have continued teaching, been responsible for developing our trainers and staff, and continue to work to see our City Campus grow in numbers and strength. Currently, I am enrolled in a Masters of Educational Leadership at the University of NSW, where I continue to learn from other professionals and their experiences about developing leadership in education.
To see healthy Christians build healthy families, ethics and relationships in the marketplace is an ultimate goal of mine. Our course not only helps mature hearts, mindsets and perspectives, but it also connects students from all walks of the globe. Life long relationships are built here that help students feel equipped and empowered not only for graduation, but also as alumni in the market place and church.
Since coming to Hillsong in 2004, I have learned what it means to lead. The relationships that I have developed with our college team, as well as with church leaders and pastors, have ultimately helped me grow in my mindset, marriage and relationships. EVERY day, there are opportunities to learn something new whilst being encouraged by how God is working in AND through me. Within this environment, I have found belonging, my confidence has been grown, character shaped, vision stretched and leadership moulded. This is a “green house” that will ultimately yield fruit from seeds within you that you never even knew were there!
