Every relationship requires trust and this can often be difficult for people to do. So trusting someone or something is a risk we all take. The Bible tells us over and over again to “Trust in the Lord” – He is faithful, but often we view Him through the lens of our own experiences, afraid that this God who we can’t even see will let us down. As a result, we often approach our journey toward Him with caution; like finding our way in the thick of fog – a place of uncertainty where it is easier to remain still than it is to walk through it. Feeling our way with eyes wide through the mystery and unknown. Jesus is our light as we navigate life’s uncertainties, our daily concerns and even often our mysterious relationship with God. We walk through this fog with a quiet determination and an inner certainty of the promised destination because of who God is and because He can be trusted. And with each step of faith we take toward Him, we find that He is drawing ever closer to us!
+ Scripture reading:
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
(1 Corinthians 13:12, NIV)
