About Laura

Laura Toggs is the pioneer of Young & Free. Together with her husband Peter, they pastor the youth ministry of Hillsong Church. Laura is a visionary, much like her father Ps. Brian Houston.

She is passionate about a generation who can stand strong in their youth and in their freedom in Jesus, and it is her heart’s desire to see young people find their identity in Him. She believes that God is calling people who would rise up and step into all He has purposed them to be.

Laura paves the way for many young people by steering the Young & Free ship to new horizons; it is a vessel bringing God’s message to young people all across the earth. As local sands and distant shores hear the sound that is Young & Free, she hopes that in the midst of the music people will be connected to Jesus.

It is her prayer that youth today will be anchored in deep and unending joy that can only be found in Jesus Christ. She is committed to leading many into this reality through the music of Young & Free.

Fearless, fresh and fabulous, Laura is a pioneer in the youth movement across the globe and is fully devoted to what God is doing in the midst of today’s generation.

In the last few years Laura has also pioneered ‘The Secret Garden TV’ – a space designed to reach & inspire young women by compelling them to dig deeper into the things that consume their hearts. Whilst they she is a well sought after speaker globally, her prize is always at home as wife to Peter & mother to their 2 kiddies Willow & Jack.
