About Jess

Jess has the privilege of leading Hillsong Wollongong with an incredible team of volunteers and dynamic ministry leaders. Jess and Nathan McLean are coming up to 20 years on Hillsong Church staff and 20 years of marriage!  As a couple the McLeans have lived in Wollongong for 6 years and love spending time outdoors with their teenage kids. In church the family is about seeing generations of leaders raised and equipped, viewing life and ministry as an adventure and team effort. Jess and Nathan both come from a youth and children’s ministry background having each lead Hillsong Kids as a national department of Hillsong Church. Nathan also has experience leading other departments and projects and currently serves on Phil and Lucinda’s key support team as a ‘Head of campus support’ overseeing mid sized locations across 5 states. When Nathan is home in Wollongong he loves his run club with guys from church, helping with workshops to develop volunteers and being part of our Wollongong teaching team.
