About Duncan

Cert.IV TAE, Dip Min., B.Sc., M.Th. (Prac.Theo)

Duncan has been a member of Hillsong Church for over 27 years. Born and raised in Australia, he was converted in the first year of his university studies and has been part of the life of church ever since. He was been a valuable member of the College team for over 18 years, after a successful career in banking and marketing. He has also been heavily involved in ministry and leadership at Hillsong Church, with roles in training and leadership development, pastoring, and small group curriculums. He is also a graduate of the College completing his Diploma in Ministry in the early Nineties. More recently, he completed his Masters in Theology studies with the University of Manchester, with a thesis analysing Paul’s teaching on giving and prosperity.

Duncan is passionate about building Hillsong Church, its people and its vision for reaching and influencing the world. He is also pursuing his call to train and release thousands of leaders into ministry around the globe, and as a leader, teacher and mentor, absolutely loves what he gets to do in College. As one of our most experienced lecturers, he is especially keen about teaching New Testament, Leadership and Apologetics. He especially loves being able to prepare leaders with a biblical and well-thought-through faith that is powerfully relevant to our modern world and with a solid and well-developed leadership philosophy and skill-set.

Duncan has been married to his wonderful wife, Wendy, for over 26 years. Together they have four great sons- Ben, Nathan, Nick and Josh. As a family, they love being planted in Hillsong Church, and are loving God, loving church, and loving life.
