Growing up in Sydney, Australia, the obvious path for me was to get a high ATAR and attend one of the major universities in my area. This was the path that I thought I was going to follow, all the way up until the month leading up to my final high school exams. My RDG (small group) leader had suggested Hillsong College as a gap year before university and it sparked a curiosity in me that I could not shake. I enrolled the month before classes started and slowly began to fall in love with learning again.
Now, this gap year has turned into graduating with my Diploma in Ministry last year and embarking on another two years to do the Bachelor of Theology course. I wanted to keep learning about what and why I believe what we do and how we come to those conclusions at an academic level. I wanted to be challenged and to grow in my academic skills.

This has been one of the best decisions of my life! I have loved being able to outwork my education as I serve in our senior high ministry, Wildlife and play a part in discipling the next generation! I want to keep learning so that I can keep passing on this knowledge to our young people and inspire them to build upon what we have learnt.
