About Vasiti and Joey

Joey & Vasiti are our flying Fijians who are youth pastors at Hillsong Brisbane. They met at a Y&F Summercamp, and have loved each other and Youth ministry ever since. As well as 6 years of leading in Youth ministry, Joey has also been highly involved with youth in the sports industry with national achievements of his own, he has worked with indigenous students in a school setting, and carries years of experience working with high-risk students in residential care.

Vasiti has been leading in Youth ministry for over 15 years and has a history in business and IT, has helped to raise student leaders within their communities, and is an avid spots lover herself!

They have both studied at Hillsong College, participated in mission trips and social justice projects to further their ministry training and interaction with people from all walks of life. They are passionate about seeing young people live free in the fullness of their God-given potential, raising up servant-leaders & influencers who live beyond themselves and communicating biblical truth in engaging ways that cause greater connection with others! They are also believers of healthy community, and love doing family alongside the team of incredible Youth volunteers who go above and beyond to serve the Youth of Brisbane weekly.
