Refugee Housing

Helping refugees find a home in the UK

Fill out the form below to let us know you are interested in volunteering with Refugee Response or are able to provide housing for refugees and asylum seekers

Do You Have A Poperty For A Refugee Family?

For our Refugee Resettlement projects, we are looking for landlords and property owners who would rent out their property for a minimum of two years against a rent based on Local Housing Allowance(LHA)

The property will be the first home in the UK for a refugee family for at least their first two years here. We could use properties in every shape or size but ideally we look for family homes with 3-4 bedrooms. If the property is appropriate for a refugee family and we have a local team in the area we will apply with the Home Office to use the property for resettlement. Rent will be paid by the family based on the benefits they receive.

Properties need to be affordable, in a safe area, in a good condition, have gas and electric certificates and have their own address

If you have a property that could be used for a refugee family please do get in touch via our form below

Do You A Spare Room?

If you have a spare room in your house plus space in your family and heart to welcome a refugee into your home there are a few ways to do so

Local Authorities are always looking for families who can provide a good and supportive home for young refugees under 18 who have come to the UK by themselves. Through fostering or supported lodging you can provide a home for these teenagers as they find their feet with living in the UK. See our ‘Families of Refuge’ page for more information

Another option is offering your home to ‘Refugees at Home’ who connects adult refugees and asylum seekers to those who have spare rooms. Although not directly linked to us, it is a great way to welcome refugees into your home in a safe way
