The #LoveYourNeighbour campaign is a grassroots UK-wide emergency response to the Covid-19 crisis.
The Bank of England predicts unemployment in the UK to rise from 4.5% to 7.5% by the end of 2020. Forecasters are also predicting an extra 1.1 million people including 200,000 children will be living beneath the poverty line as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Love Your Neighbour is strategically partnering with volunteers, churches, schools, hospitals, charities, businesses, local councils and others across the UK to help as many people as we possibly can.
Volunteer teams across the UK are sourcing and delivering food at scale to those in need, as well assisting in a variety of other activities such as: supporting isolated people by phone calls, providing practical support to local hospitals, delivering activity packs to children, transporting medicines from pharmacies to those shielding, and a whole host of other ways. Together, we are playing our part in helping the most isolated and vulnerable in our communities at this time.

The Part We Play
We are starting with four hubs across the UK in London, Newcastle, Reading and Kent, meeting three needs for those in our church and community, food provision, employment training and debt advice. There are opportunities to volunteer on the ground sourcing, sorting and delivering these services, as well as donating to this cause to keep it running.
