The theme for Heart for the House this year is ‘so that we can and others may’. It is an expression of uncommon generosity, which comes out of a conviction of collective self-interest. Society at large is getting more and more obsessed with self and, whether we see it or not, the idea of being for the collective, for the wellbeing of others and for the common good is diminishing.
As we have grown over the years, much of what is our ‘now’ has come from the generosity of those in our church, and in particular those in central London. As we have expanded into one church in different locations, we have realised the need of having facilities that facilitate the vision. These facilities are the physical buildings that become the tools in our hand, so to speak. One of our focuses this year is on financing the Epicentre and new houses for refugee families – these are both opportunities before us, so that we can create a sense of belonging for people and so that others may encounter Jesus.
Heart for the House should always be a testimony and a tool to ‘change the narrative’; where people sacrifice for the collective self-interest, for something they are a part of that benefits others and benefits them; a contrast to the ‘me first’ culture that we so often encounter.
This year, as we approach Heart for the House, we give so that we can build God’s house and so that others may find their home in our church. Why not pray about the part you can play, and believe that as you build God’s house you will see Him build yours.
We love and appreciate you!

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting
Starting on Monday 14th October we have our annual 21 days of Prayer and Fasting.
To ‘fast’ is to abstain from something specific for a particular reason. When we fast as Christians, we often do it to develop depth in our relationship with God. We have less of something to spend more time with God. As we look towards H4TH we do not want it to be something we do in our own strength but in God’s strength. Prayer and fasting demonstrate our dependence on God and not ourselves.
Find out more about why we fast below.
