Resettling a Refugee Family in Oxford

Through the Community Sponsorship programme of the Home Office we have the amazing opportunity to help resettle a refugee family to the UK. The Community Sponsorship programme allows community groups such as churches to resettle a family and help them with set up life, from picking them up from the airport to finding them a property, help sort benefits and get them enrolled in to schools, a community sponsor will help with all practical elements of resettlement.

Caring for the Elderly

We head into elderly care homes, sometimes to paint nails & pamper or put on a tea party with delicious cakes and have a sing song with our children too! The most important thing is giving some of our time to care, chat, listen and bring some sunshine into their day.

A21 Walk for Freedom

Walk for Freedom is our global fundraising and awareness event, rallying tens of thousands of people, taking millions of steps, in hundreds of cities all over the world. We walk to disrupt the existence of slavery, shaking its very foundation with each step. Last year, Oxford was one of 475 walks in 50 countries, reaching 70 million people through social media. Each step mattered. Each step made a difference.

This year we will take more ground than ever before. Join us as we walk on Saturday 19 October.

Compassion is one of the world’s leading child development and child advocacy organisations. Compassion link children living in poverty with a sponsor and through sponsorship, the children are given access to education, health checks and vocational training. We support Compassion through the Child Sponsorship Programme and the Water Projects “Since The Water Came”.

By sponsoring children in the same region, we believe we can see the nation of Uganda changed. By sponsoring a child, you change a family. If we sponsor children in the same area, we change a community. Change enough communities, we can impact a region. Impact enough regions, we can bring change to a nation.
