Each year, our church comes together for an annual, sacrificial offering: Heart for the House. An opportunity to bring our best to God.
Heart for the House is over and above our normal tithes and offerings and goes to support our strategic initiatives across Our Home, Our Neighbors and Our World.
We invite you to prayerfully join us in preparing for what is sure to be a significant and miraculous moment for our church.
This year’s Heart for the House offering will help support our efforts across three areas, including:
1 BUILDING STRONG AND SUSTAINABLE TEAM BY EQUIPPING LEADERS
As we commit to the process of discipleship of leaders and those serving in church, we will be investing in tools to help us to reflect God’s Kingdom and character as a community, including:
- Enrolling staff in a Post Graduate Certificate in Well Being studies, teaching skills needed to build sustainable and flourishing Christian community.
- Utilizing training courses developed for church leaders including Emotionally Healthy Leadership, to further build into our teams in 2022.
- Subsidize any key leaders or team that would like to participate in these courses but for whom costs are prohibitive.
- Utilizing brilliant training courses developed for church leaders including Emotionally Healthy Leadership, to further build into our teams in 2022.
- Subsidize the cost for key leaders or team that would want to participate in these courses but for whom costs are prohibitive.
2 RETURNING TO WEEKLY IN-PERSON SERVICES IN NY, NJ, BOSTON AND CONNECTICUT
Our collective giving will support our return to weekly in-person services. This includes venues as well as equipment and resources we need to make this achievable for our teams and volunteers. In some instances, investment upfront will help maximize cost efficiency in the medium-long term and save on set up time too, which we can redirect to building into our teams with training and development.
3 BEING GOOD NEWS TO OUR BROADER COMMUNITY.
Continuing to support our efforts to bless our communities through our many CityHOPE initiatives. In 2020 we were able to serve 11,904 people and 10,447 meals across the east coast. As a result of the generosity of our church, we were able to see many lives reached with the love of Jesus and His message of hope. Learn more about our local CityHOPE and global initiatives below.
Our heart is to reach our communities with the hope and love of Jesus. Our annual Heart for the House giving supports our community outreach initiatives through CityHOPE across the East Coast.
Through our team and incredible volunteers our church is able to make a tangible difference in the lives of people who are in need.
In 2020 we donated $119,482.77 to our local nonprofit partners and served more than 11,900 people through our initiatives, including:
Through our Heart for the House giving, together with our Hillsong locations around the world, we are able to partner with Vision Rescue, Hillsong Africa Foundation, and A21 Thailand.
A total of 5% of all the funds received from our Hillsong Partners and Heart for the House in 2021 will go towards our global partnerships.
A total of 5% of our annual Heart for the House offering goes towards the global building fund to support investment opportunities across all our Hillsong locations globally.
Hillsong Partners is an avenue for each and every person that calls Hillsong HOME to thoughtfully steward the resources that are in their hand and to put into practice the biblical principals of generosity and sow ‘seed’ into both our church and local and global communities.
