Being the hands and feet of Jesus in our local communities

Our heart is to see communities transformed...

We believe this can be achieved through the strengthening of families, empowering young people and fostering a sense of belonging for vulnerable groups in need of connection. We have a number of partnerships, projects and programs we are committed to and involved in as we practically seek out to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the cities and communities we find ourselves in.

Heart for the House Partners primarily resources Hillsong CityHope to engage our local community through its ongoing programs and services, which include:

Street Teams: Every week our volunteers can be found throughout our city loving and caring for those on our streets by building real relationships and meeting practical needs of the homeless community.

SHINE: We offer curriculum and community that instills value and identity into the lives of young women who may lack encouraging voices in their lives. Our volunteers occupy schools to discuss topics of value, worth, strength, and purpose with young girls.

ANNUAL PROJECTS: Through our Back to School Drive,Thanksgiving and Christmas Drives we are able to provide practical resources to those in our communities who need it most.

We are honored to come alongside organizations that have been serving the needs of our community consistently throughout our cities’ histories. We are continuing to build and foster strong relationships with organizations that collectively seek to engage with the homeless communities of the Northeast area.

THE BOWERY MISSION: Where the enemy uses false doctrines of the city to try to destruct lives, the Bowery Mission moves in and (re)constructs lives by the true promises of the Kingdom. Compassionate care and biblical life transformations make it one of New York City’s most effective homeless shelters, while our volunteers provide 12 hands a month to help sharpen the arrows of victory.

COVENANT HOUSE: When youth without footing stumble hard over their vision, Covenant House catches them strong. A safe haven for the 20,000+ homeless youth in the city, it’s a space where their true value is imparted and where, two Friday evenings every month, 12 of our volunteers spend time fostering relationships and encouragement that restore their sight onto God’s promises.

FATHER’S HEART: The city has a way of hiding the ways to wisdom, Fathers Heart has a way of shining a light on them. Beginning with a soup kitchen and food pantry, guests are guided to free legal services, GED preparation, ESL classes, tutoring and job training, while 10 of our volunteers start guests’ Saturday right with breakfast and grace served.

GOODWILL RESCUE MISSION – NJ: When the cycle of poverty pulls men, women and children down, the Goodwill Rescue Mission pulls them up, stronger. Shelter and chapel services, addiction and self-esteem counseling move them forward, while our volunteers keep 100+ going with meals and exchanges in the Holy Spirt that nourish the soul.

NEW YORK RESCUE MISSION: For almost as long as there’s been hunger in the city, the New York Rescue Mission has been hope in the city. As the longest running shelter in the country, it provides healing to hurting men and women of New York City, while 10 volunteers, two Saturdays a month, serve lunch to 120+ people that see real love unfaded.

Your generous support enables us to be positioned effectively to reach those who are vulnerable and to practically impact the needs in our cities.
