‘WELCOME HOME’ is more than our desire for this House to be a safe place of rest, it is a prophetic declaration calling the lost home to Jesus.
Through the Hillsong Foundation, we are enabled to build strength into our church as we grow, stretch and expand into much needed facilities, as well as extend our reach locally as we add new rooms around the Tri-State Area.
Throughout this year, we will continue to expand and launch our two new campuses Hillsong Boston and Hillsong Connecticut. Across the Tri-State area, we will continue to strategically invest in our campuses and facilities – creating physical spaces where people are welcomed home, discover Salvation and are equipped to flourish in every sphere of life. At the start of this year we have been able to open the doors to our new Hillsong NYC Offices. These facilities will both strengthen our ministries and reduce our costs of hiring external premises.
As we consider the scope and reach of “Our Home” – it is truly a grand responsibility.
Bricks and mortar matter little on their own… but that which is contained within is impossible to price. If a building is a skeleton, a necessary structure of form and function; then it is surely completed by the life-blood of Holy Spirit infused humanity. It houses the potential within each individual, carries loving arms of embrace and provides a platform for the good news to be spoken.
In 2016 once again we are committed to putting a stake in the ground as we continue to extend our ‘home’ from Sydney to LA, from Melbourne to Ukraine, NYC and Barcelona. In the last five years, we have strategically planted Hillsong Church in these cities to reach and influence people with the message of Christ. To house church, youth & kids programs, offices and to create a ‘home’ in these cities, we need buildings. For this reason, we want to be in
a position to find a permanent location.
In order for us to keep growing and expanding, we need to ensure that our home and core is kept strong. This year we are moving forward to upgrade our facilities and equipment and finding permanent buildings here in New York City.
As always we have more vision than resource but we know that as a church if we commit to this next season of giving we can continue to strengthen our stakes and lengthen our cords and build ‘homes’ for the people that fill our seats each and every week and for the millions in our cities yet to come in… A house is only a home when it is filled with people who find answers and life in the places in which we gather.
