As I was looking at this beautiful wide-open sea right in front of me, I thought to myself; that’s the kind of life God has prepared for me! And it’s just waiting for me to step in and start living it!

Earlier this year, my husband and I went to IKEA. We were only weeks away from giving birth to our baby girl, so naturally we were reorganising our home. We had carefully dreamed and planned out how we could turn the guest room into a nursery, and squeeze the guest room furniture into the office, and we simply needed a few glorious pieces of flat packed furniture from our Swedish friend to complete our home.

Social justice and the Church goes hand in hand. Our Global Senior Pastor Brian Houston has penned the vision for our Church, globally, called “The Church I Now See”, which includes “…the Church that I see is committed to bringing the love and hope of Christ to impossible situations through the preaching of the gospel and a mandate that drives us to do all we can to bring help and solution to a needy world.”

I find it easy to have myself together and think good thoughts when everything is going well. Then, it’s easy to be kind to others and be kind to myself.

Anxiety, worry and stress are feelings that people cope with daily through life’s highs and lows. However, for many today these feelings are heightened as the world navigates the COVID-19 pandemic and its uncertainty. And it can be overwhelming!

I don’t know about you, but in a crazy season like this, I tend to become more frustrated and anxious, because of uncertainty and lack of future perspective.

The future may seem so uncertain and scary right now, however, as followers of Jesus we can walk in courage and strength because He is already in our future!

Wellbeing through this season of social distancing

God somehow has made Himself dependant on us to pray. If we pray, He can act!
