God is building a house, and we all have a role to play, no matter the path that brought us here. As Ephesians 2:19-22 reminds us, he laid the foundations with the apostles and prophets, and today he uses us to assemble the building stone by stone, brick by brick, with Jesus Christ as the cornerstone, uniting all parts and giving strength and coherence to the whole.

In 1 Corinthians 3:6-9, the apostle Paul also teaches us that, although we plant or water, it is God who makes it grow. Human partnership exists: we participate, each contributing according to our talents and roles, but it is God who guides the project and gives it life. Those who plant and those who water work together with the same purpose, and each is rewarded for their own effort.

In our areas of focus — people, families, the Church — everyone brings a unique contribution in harmony with a shared goal: to help God’s kingdom grow. Together, we are God’s field, God’s building, part of a larger project, co-constructed with the Master Builder.
