Kilo Of Kindness
The Kilo Of Kindness initiative we launch at Easter focuses on mobilising our church to donate non-perishable goods to help individuals and families in our communities who are in need.
Even in developed countries such as France, Switzerland and Luxembourg, there are large numbers of families living below the monetary poverty line. In France, there is an estimate of 9.2 million people living below the poverty line, and of these, 20% are children who find themselves in a situation of food shortage.
This year, our Kilo Of Kindness collection will be given to our local partners to make a difference in our local communities. These associations are: Montparnasse Rencontres, l’Épicerie Armée du Salut, l’Association du Foyer Jorbalan, le Palais de la Femme, le Foyer Nazareth, l’Épicerie Solidaire d’Eaubonne, Mon Âme Soeur, Foyer logement Dangien, l’Épicerie Sociale de Massy, l’Épicerie Sociale de Palaiseau, La Cimade, la banque alimentaire Partage, le foyer La Croisée, le foyer Notre Dame des sans abris l’Effet Mères, les Camions du Coeur, le foyer Claire Joie.
We can't do everything, but we must do something.
We invite you to fill a bag.
You can pick up a “Un Kilo d’Amour” from our Sers Ta Ville team and bring it back on Easter Sunday filled with non-perishable food products, hygienic products and childcare items. These items will help families and individuals in need in our communities.
Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.
Give online
The money raised will be used to purchase non-perishable food items for our various local partners. All online donations are eligible for a tax deduction if you are a French tax resident.
