Diploma of Ministry
Preparing you to build the Church in today’s climate, this course provides you with a strong foundation in ministry and biblical studies, shaping a Christian worldview that will directly connect to your ministry work. In addition, you will find opportunities to gain the practical expertise required for ministry and to make a positive contribution to society.
Course Structure
The Diploma of Ministry is comprised of 8 subjects (80 credit points). Within our Diploma of Ministry course, you can choose a Focus that concentrates your studies to equip you with a specific skill set. See the available Focusses and required subjects below.

Entry Requirements
– Be a committed Christian (for at least the last 12 months).
-Have a strong sense of the call of God on their life.
-Be a regular and active member of a local church (for at least the last 12 months).
-Be at least 18 years of age by the time they start College.
-Be living a faithful Christian lifestyle consistent with our Student Code of Conduct.
-Have successfully completed high school, or have equivalent post-school life and work experience.
-Have access to sufficient financial resources to cover their fees, accommodation and living expenses.
-Have the physical, emotional, psychological and intellectual health and capacity required to successfully undertake the demands of ministry training.
-Be proficient in spoken and written English according to the minimum requirement of each course below.
-Agree to the Terms and Conditions of any Offer of Place, and to conduct themselves according to the requirements of the Student Handbook, including the Student Code of Conduct, up to and during the period of their enrolment.
-Completed senior high school within last 2 years with NSW Higher School Certificate (or equivalent)
-Completion of an AQF level 3 Certificate III level VET qualification (interview required);
-Completion of an AQF level 5 Higher Education Diploma;
-Work and Life experience and Mature Age –provisional entry.
IELTS Academic (or equivalent) score 6.0.
Students who would like to study music subjects in the Worship Music Focus are required to go through our evaluation process. This process ensures students have the musical skill required to succeed at the level of these Undergraduate courses.
To qualify for credit transfer your studies will need to be:
-With an accredited or recognized institution providing high quality training and education that is recognized by regulators and/or other colleges.
-In a field equivalent or related to Hillsong College’s courses, streams or subjects.
-Delivered at an appropriate post-high school level.

Associate Degree in Ministry
Preparing you for Christian ministry in today’s world, the Associate Degree in Ministry is designed to provide you with a broad theoretical knowledge of Christian Studies and practical knowledge of ministry. This course guides you to be able to minister effectively in Christian and community settings and respond intelligently to a wide variety of modern challenges and issues.
Course Structure
The Associates Degree in Ministry is a degree comprised of 16 subjects (160 credit points). Within our Associate Degree in Ministry course, you can choose a focus that concentrates your studies to equip you with a specific skill set. Within the BTh course, students can choose elective subjects from the focus options set by Hillsong College. The selected subjects will result in an official ‘specialization’ in New Testament Languages or Christian Studies, which will be apparent on your graduate certificate.
