Hillsong Conference London 2020

Event Information Getting There What to Bring Drop-Off & Pick-Up Safety & Security Additional Information

Event Information

Wednesday July 22 – Friday July 24, 2020

We’re so excited for Kidsong London 2020! We are located just outside the front doors of The O2 Arena again for 2020. Once again we’re creating our own venue, so look out for our Kidsong marquees between the O2 Arena & Tube entrance. Please note: one to two-year-olds will be inside the O2 this year – you'll find us at Gate H.

At Kidsong, it’s our goal to give kids the opportunity to grow a true relationship with God and make lifelong friends through fun and engaging activities. We want to inspire kids to live a life of faith, putting God first in everything they do.

This year’s theme is based around characteristics of Christ followers: courage, honour, valour and a lion heart. The Big Word scripture is Romans 15:5-6. Our prayer for your kids is to understand who they are in the kingdom of God, knowing they have purpose and are valued. We hope your children will be inspired to change the world for good and live out a Christ-centred life.

Kidsong is for children aged one year (and walking) through to 11 years, and is divided into the following age groups:

One (and walking) to two-year-olds*
Three to four-year-olds
Five to six-year-olds
Seven to 11-year-olds

The program for children aged three to 11 years is available during all sessions at Hillsong Conference.

The one and two-year-old program is available during all day sessions, but there will be no evening program for this age group. Parents will be allocated to a suite so they are still able to be a part of the night session with their child.

How to settle your child into our program:
Before Conference starts, please talk to your child about their program and all the fun they will have in their special room. This will help to ease their fears about a potentially unknown scenario. You could give them practice staying without you by leaving them at a friend’s house or in your own church’s kids’ program.
During parent drop-off we encourage parents to come into the room with their toddler, meet leaders and help settle their child into the room.
Our kids’ program opens an hour before the adult service starts, so why not come a bit earlier to ensure your toddler is comfortable and happy before you head off into the service. Toddlers will often cry when left, but usually settle quickly once parents are out of sight. Our team will text you if they need you at any time. Please make sure you provide a number we can easily contact you on during Conference.

For parents with newborns through to 12 months old (no registration required), we have allocated suites available for the duration of Hillsong Conference.

Let us know if you require special seating arrangements by editing your registration form. Please also join the "Families (with children under 12 months)" seating community group with the passcode HILLSONG. You can nominate one or two more members of your family or friends to accompany you in the suite.

Parent suites
Our parent rooms, located in the suites, provide a place for parents of newborns to 12-month-olds to feed and change diapers, plus space for baby to rest and play. Parent-room hosts are on hand to assist and make sure as a family you have a great experience at Hillsong Conference.

Parents of one-and-walking to two-year-olds will be allocated evening tickets to a suite for the duration of Hillsong Conference. There will be no one and two-year-olds program during the evening session, so this will be a place to come with your child to relax during the session and still be a part of Hillsong Conference.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Drop-Off
Programs are open and parent drop-off begins an hour before each session.

Pick Up
Parent pick-up begins immediately after each session.
Please collect your child within 30 mins of the session finishing.
You will receive precise timings with your Kidsong registration letter and pass.

You will need to show your Parent Pick-Up Card every time you come to pick up your child. Your child’s ID number is also indicated on the card. If we need to contact you during the meetings we will send you a text message, so please keep your phone handy and on silent.

*Please note: If you will not be collecting your children yourself, please inform the Kidsong team at drop-off and ensure the child’s collector or family member has the Parent Pick-Up Card with them. No Parent Pick-up Card will mean no entry into Kidsong. Under 18-year-olds will not be allowed to collect children unless agreed with the Kidsong team at drop-off.

Can I pick up my child before the end of session?
Kidsong unfortunately cannot facilitate early pick-ups outside of parent pick-up times, except in the case of an emergency.

Safety & Security

Our outstanding Kidsong team are strictly screened, specifically trained and DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) checked. Access to Kidsong is limited to working with children-approved people, and parents must show their Parent Pick-Up Card to collect their child. We have external SIA (Security Industry Authority) trained security team in addition to support our Kidsong team.

Additional Information

First Aid
The Kidsong program has a dedicated team who can administer medication, first aid, a quiet place to rest, high fives and stickers to any children who need a little extra TLC.

Treasure Chest (Additional Needs)
If your child has any special/additional needs (Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida etc...) we would love to welcome them into our programme and give your child extra support from our great team.

Please indicate on their online registration form or contact us at [email protected] if your child has any additional needs, so that our team can facilitate the best care for them during conference.

Nappies
We are unable to change your child’s nappy. Please keep your mobile phone handy should we need to contact you for a nappy change or if your child becomes unsettled.

Buggies
We have a secure pram parking area for your buggy during conference. Please take any valuables with you. If your baby is sleeping we have limited space in the rooms for your buggy while they are asleep.

Toilets
We have designated toilets for the children to use. They will be supervised by our leaders. If your child is toilet training please let us know and we will regularly ask them if they need to use the bathroom. We do not change nappies or clothes, so we will need a contact number for you so that we can text you if they need a nappy change.
