1 Corinthians 3:7b-8a (NLT)
Hi Church,
Our Heart For The Mission season is such a sacred and important season in the life of our church and we are so thankful to everyone for their generosity and faithfulness in giving into the mission and vision of our church.
Time and time again, we are in awe of what God is choosing to do through our church. We are so thankful for where we are, and how we got here, and as we look ahead to the future, we are so expectant for what is to come. We are believing for our youth and young adults ministries to continue to burn with a passion for God that will fuel them to share the gospel in their schools and with their friends. We are passionate about all our locations finding permanent homes where they can gather and have a real impact in the communities where they are located. We are excited for our new locations that are yet to come, and for God to continue to lead and guide us for where we are to go next. And we are so expectant for each and every one of you, our church family, to continue to seek after God in all that you do. May we all continue to be purpose-filled Jesus followers so that we can be a healthy church changing lives through Christ!
Like we unpacked at Mission Sunday earlier in the year, we pray that you will partner with us as we continue to build together. Ephesians 2:19–22 (MSG) reminds us that “God is building a home. He’s using us all — irrespective of how we got here — in what he is building. [...] he’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together.” It takes all of us to contribute and to play our part, and we can all make a contribution that counts and matters. As we enter into our Heart For The Mission season, may we all be asking God what part we can play, and how we can all be involved in building together through the mission and vision that God has placed on our hearts for Hillsong Australia.
With love,
Phil & Lucinda

MISSION PILLARS 1 & 2
Giving to our Mission Pillars 1 & 2 helps us outwork the vision and mission of our church locations across Australia. Through your generosity, you are supporting initiatives that advance Hillsong Church Australia’s mission, from church planting and securing permanent homes for our campuses, to strengthening other ministry initiatives.
This includes securing permanent homes for North Shore and Macquarie, continuing the fit-out of our Melbourne Greater West and Greater Western Sydney campuses, and establishing a permanent home for Perth.
Together, we are fostering a discipleship culture across all our locations, creating space for people to discover, grow in, and live out their God-given purpose.
There are so many moments here where we just know our next chapter has started. We come as we are, and we have every confidence that God does the rest. Since joining this new church campus plant, we've found renewed purpose, and rebuilt our trust in God.

MELBOURNE SOUTH EAST
Last year, we announced our 5 in 5 church planting faith goal and we are already seeing progress and God at work as we set out to work towards this goal! At Mission Sunday this year, our Melbourne South East location officially launched weekly services and gatherings, and since then we have seen incredible fruit and growth at this location, with a consistent community of people who now call Hillsong Melbourne South East home. We know that this is just the beginning of what God has in store for this area and the broader Melbourne region.
We’ve been part of a few Hillsong locations around Australia and also helped pioneer Hillsong Darwin. God’s got a plan for this city, and we are really excited for what is to come for Adelaide.

ADELAIDE
At Mission Sunday in February this year, we announced the next of our 5 in 5 locations: Hillsong Adelaide! From those who have been part of our Hillsong family in other locations across Australia and now call Adelaide home, to others who are excited to be partnering with us in Adelaide, at our first gathering, it was so great to connect with so many wonderful people who live in the Adelaide area. We know that this will be a thriving location where we are able to reach and impact people across Adelaide and beyond, and we are so excited for all that is to come!
Our family has been part of Hillsong North Shore for 22 years, and we have been praying and believing God for our own church home this whole time. Our three girls have been raised in this church (our youngest is in the kids program, and the eldest two are in our youth program). For the past two years, we have been hosting our Friday night youth gatherings in our home. This permanent church home means that our kids and youth will have a dedicated purpose-built space to gather, grow in their faith and encounter Jesus together!
We cannot wait to see the salvations and life transformations in the young people of the North Shore as a result of our new church home! We truly believe our campus will become a lighthouse in the North Shore.

NORTH SHORE
This March, we announced that we have taken a step of faith to secure a permanent home for our Hillsong North Shore campus, right in the heart of Chatswood.
For 27 years, this community has faithfully bumped in and bumped out each Sunday, making space in hired venues for all that God has been building. Now, we are stepping into a new season — establishing a stake in the ground in this area.
We are full of faith for the impact this building will have, not only for our church family but as a light and a blessing to the wider Chatswood community. As we move forward, we are believing together to complete the purchase of this building — an opportunity to sow into a legacy that will serve generations to come, creating a place where people can find hope, belonging, and faith.
MISSION PILLAR 3
Mission Pillar 3 is centred around helping to create significant and sustainable social impact by continuing to show God’s practical love to people in our communities. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and to always point people back to Him in everything that we do. Through our local and global partnerships, we are confident that in helping to meet very real and practical needs, people will also be able to encounter Jesus’ presence in a living and tangible way.
Mission Aviation Fellowship
In 2025 we entered a new social impact partnership with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), that helps to serve those in remote Australia, specifically those in Arnhem Land, NT. MAF brings help, hope and healing through aviation to see isolated people changed by the love of Christ. While isolation may not always be seen as a problem, for many people across the world it is a barrier to accessing basic needs — from medical care and clean water to education and development. MAF can reach people who might otherwise be isolated from care and help, all while proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus!
Hillsong CityCare
Hillsong CityCare engages with communities to help build sustainable pathways for people to flourish and move forward in their life. Bringing hope and practical support to real social issues and challenges, including mental health, addiction, loneliness, homelessness, domestic violence, disaster and emergency relief, as well as poverty and financial hardship.
Through local partnerships with our local campuses, we are able to respond to the needs of people and communities across Australia. This is the heartbeat of our church - bringing hope, compassion and practical care to those who need it most.
ONE80TC
ONE80TC provides a supportive Christian-based environment to help those who are dealing with life-controlling issues and addictions. With a focus on equipping individuals with the tools they need to break free from what is holding them back, they are able to grow and flourish and build a solid foundation for lifelong recovery and healing.
Hillsong Africa Foundation
Working across South Africa in schools, prisons, community centres and shelters, Hillsong Africa Foundation (HAF) aims to foster personal growth and development amongst young people to help empower them to make positive change in their life. HAF run a wide variety of programs to reach a variety of needs. We partner with their Prison Impact Programs which help individuals with reintegration into society, and the Accelerate and iHub programs work on addressing the high youth unemployment in South Africa. HAF’s mission statement is “Building Lives That Will Build The Nation” and we are confident that the work they are doing is having a tangible impact and is bringing positive change to the nation of South Africa.
Vision Rescue
The work of Vision Rescue in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata helps to rescue children from all forms of exploitation by engaging and sustaining them in education. Additionally, Vision Rescue helps empower the children to change mindsets and make good life choices that promote intergenerational transformation. The learning centres provide schooling for children and help them access formal education, an opportunity they might not otherwise have.
Our Local Campus Initiatives are designed to help us outwork the mission of our church within a specific campus or community context. Local Campus Initiatives are based on one of our three mission pillars: helping to advance purpose-filled Jesus followers, healthy church communities, or significant and sustainable social impact at a local level.
Local Campus Initiatives allow our campus pastors, together with local campus partners, to respond meaningfully to the unique needs and opportunities within their communities. Through these projects, we can invest in practical improvements, support ministry growth, and create spaces and opportunities that serve people, strengthen the Church, and make a tangible difference in our local communities.
Through Heart For The Mission, we are able to support a range of Local Campus Initiatives across all our locations in Australia.
